                           Australian Medical Coding is the process of converting a patients healthcare diagnosis, procedures , treatment received and other healthcare processes into alphanumeric codes following the Australian Modification. These codes are important as they make up the whole payment claim. 

                      Medical Coding and billing practices are different between countries. There are American and Australian modified codes. In Australian Medical Coding there are different coding conventions and rules.
